The collection consists of 5 boxes of maps and travel brochures assembled by Honnold Mudd Library Special Collections from local history files and the G. William MacPherson collection. The collection is primarily made up of California state, regional, and street maps; as well as guides and brochures to California events and travel destinations, including museums, fairs, resorts, and areas of natural beauty. Also included in the collection are maps of the United States as well as other countries and regions of the world. The majority of the collection dates from the 1920s to the 1950s, but includes materials from the turn of the century to the present.
