Poster showing a poison gas cloud overtaking Zouave and Turkish light infantry regiments. Text continues: "The on-rolling cloud of gas: the suffocating fumes forcing Zouaves and Turcos to retire from the trenches, near Langemarck, from which the enemy had failed to dislodge them by recognized methods of war". Lengthy text continues to describe attack. Poster art created by John De G. Bryan (Charles William Grineau) from the sketches by, and under the direct supervision of, an officer present at the action. Published as a supplement to the Illustrated London News.
