Scope and Contents
This series contains typed, handwritten, and printed e-mail correspondence, as well as newspaper clippings, newsletters, fliers, and photographs related to Jackson’s academic work related to the fields of Musicology and Music History. The series span over three decades (1949-2013) and includes Jackson’s work as creator and editor of Performance Practice Review, chairman of the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the Musicological Society, member of the Southern California Chapter of American Music Society, and faculty at Claremont Graduate School. The series contains correspondence from colleagues Gilbert Reaney, Mark Lindley, and John Koegel. In addition, the series contains personal family correspondence from Jackson wife, children, and grandchildren.
