Scope and Contents
Offprints of Ch’en Shou-yi and other scholars’ academic works on history, literature, religion, language, and politics. Materials are written in Chinese, English, and other languages. Some offprints have Ch’en’s handwritten notes and the authors’ compliments to Ch’en Shou-yi. Publications such as booklets, magazines, pamphlets, brochures, and pictorials written in English, Chinese, Japanese, and other languages. Pamphlets of global tourist sites and local culture including those of Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, Japanese occupied Manchuria, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Newspaper clippings and magazine excerpts, in Chinese and English, categorized by topics and themes. Some clippings have Ch’en’s handwritten notes and comments. This subseries also includes original newspapers such as Ta Kung Pao (大公報) and Peking Gazette (京報).
