Biography / Administrative History

Frederick L. Mulhauser was born on June 21, 1911, in Cleveland. In 1932, he earned a BA from the College of Wooster, and an MA and PhD in English literature from Yale University in 1937. Mulhauser taught at Hiram College and Northwestern University circa 1935-1936, and Pomona College from 1941-1974. He edited a collection of Arthur Hugh Clough (1819-1861) poems in 1974. Mulhauser died in Claremont in February 1974.
