Upton Sinclair Papers
Scope and Contents of the Collection
The Upton Sinclair Collection came to Honnold Library in the 1960s from the Sinclair home in Monrovia, California. At that time, what came to the library consisted of materials for three large projects that Sinclair had been working on in the late 1950s: corrections to the manuscript of The Autobiography of Upton Sinclair published in 1962; Addressing the World: My First Eight Years, an anthology project; and thirty-one narrative selections planned for The American Nights Entertainments, a collection of stories on the order of an Arabian Nights. In addition, the collection contains mimeographed copies of several completed but unpublished Sinclair writings, correspondence, and pamphlets.
