Louis J. Alexander Papers
Scope and Contents
Alexander graduated from Long Beach High School in 1915. Served in the United States Navy from October 1917 to September 1919 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1922. Was an engineer for the Southern California Water Company and its predecessor company, the American States Water Company 1928-?; design engineer for water supply, developed treatment processes for purification of well waters; later chief engineer in charge of all operations and vice president.
