Edward R. Bowen was a consulting engineer who worked on water projects in Northern and Southern California. He worked for the Spring Valley Water Company.

Abstract

The collection contains Edward R. Bowen's memorandum, letters, and a report on the water supply and water rights of various areas in Southern California. An employee of the Spring Valley Water Company, Bowen worked as a consulting engineer for water-related enterprises in both Southern and Northern California. Here, Bowen proposes costs and feasibility of developing water supplies and gives background information, such as water rights, on the water companies already in place within Southern California.
