The Rounds Family Collection of Pomoniana includes items belonging to two generations of the Rounds Family – Jack Sherman Rounds, Sr. (’23), Christine (Asher) Rounds (’23), and Jack Rounds, Jr. (’60) – highlighting their time as Pomona College students and subsequent affiliations with alumni organizations. The majority of the materials come from Jack Rounds, Jr.’s time as a student, from 1956 to 1960, and include correspondence from Pomona College, informational handouts and items for new students, and newspaper clippings relating to both Pomona College and the City of Claremont. A selection of photographs from 1921 to 1923, including images of Pomona College athletes, Hobo Club banquet, and the Class of 1923 are featured in the collection. An honorary gavel presented to Jack S. Rounds, Sr. for his service with the Pomona College Alumni Association is also included.
