Scope and Contents of the Collection
Pomona College Architectural Plans is an artificial collection of architectural drawings, blueprints, sketches, renderings, building plans, and other documentation of Pomona College and Claremont Colleges buildings and grounds, both on and off campus. Spanning from 1922 to 2006, the collection is comprised of items donated to the Archives primarily by faculty members and academic departments. While the collection primarily includes building materials for current or former buildings, the collection also features plans and sketches of proposed campus building which were never constructed. The collection features work by notable architects and architectural firms such as Ralph Cornell, Marston and Maybury, Allison and Rible, Criley and McDowell, Jamieson and Spearl, Wallace Neff, and Robert A.M. Stern. Pomona College Architectural Plans is current and is still accruing materials. New materials will be added as acquired.
