Scope and Contents of the Collection
The Pomona College Scrapbook and Photograph Album Collection is an artificial collection of scrapbooks and albums belonging to Pomona College students and alumni, as well as those for which the creator and/or origin is unknown. Spanning from 1897 to 1986, the scrapbooks and photo albums were created contain clippings, photographs, programs, invitations, illustrations, correspondence, and ephemera related to Pomona College people and events as well as off campus activities in Claremont and the southern California area. In some cases, people and places in the photographs are unidentified. Also included are “Class Year” scrapbooks, which were created by an elected class historian and document four years of activities and events at the College. The collection is current and is still accruing materials. New materials will be added as acquired.
