Abstract
The collection contain correspondence, diaries, writings, photographs, reports, article clippings, and booklets that document the experiences of American missionaries and educators in China. This collection was assembled through the China Missionaries Oral History Project at Claremont Graduate School from 1969-1971. The collection covers the years 1889-1972 with the bulk of the material ranging from 1910-1950.

Dr. Frank Parkhurst Brackett was born in Provincetown, Mass. in 1865. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1887. Immediately after he graduated he moved to California. In 1887, he taught at the McPherron Academy for boys in Los Angeles. In 1889 he married Lucretia Burdick in Pomona, California. He taught astronomy, mathematics, and Latin at Pomona College from 1892 to 1932. In 1912, he took a sabbatical to travel to Algeria to conduct experiments on government funded research project....

Abstract
A scrapbook collection of items including brochures, newspaper article clippings, photographs, and administrative materials focusing on the annual Claremont Arts Fair. These materials document the events and artists of the 1958, 1959, and 1960 art fairs.
