Scope Note: Sanborn Hall (1964) was the first residential dormitory built on Pitzer College campus. Designed in mid-century modern style by local architects Criley & McDowell. The Hall was demolished in 2008.

Abstract
This collection of papers is primarily comprised of correspondence from Deborah Deutsch Smith written to her parents while she was a student at Pitzer College from 1964-1968. There are also supplemental documents including college newsletters, newspapers, course schedules, newspaper clippings, photographs, etc. as well as correspondence from people other than Deborah Deutsch Smith but related to her time at Pitzer College.
