This is an artificial collection created by Special Collections of The Claremont Colleges Library that holds various publications related to feminism and the Feminist movement. Currently, the collection contains articles, booklets, underground comic books, magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, and reference materials, spanning from the 1960s to the 1970s This is a growing collection and new materials will be added as they are acquired.
Fiske (Kenneth G.) Papers
This collection contains the personal papers of violinist Kenneth G. Fiske, who joined the Pomona College faculty in 1936. A musical prodigy, Fiske studied at many prestigious music programs and under prominent European and American instructors. At Pomona, Fiske taught the violin and was the conductor of the college's symphony orchestra. Materials include correspondence, sheet music, audio recordings, writings, and teaching materials.
Charles S. Frey Memorial Bicycle Collection
The Charles S. Frey collection contains materials related to bicycling and bicycle enthusiasts ranging from pamphlets and periodicals to illustrations and comic books. It was created by Ruth Frey Axe in honor of her nephew, an airman who lost his life during World War II. She began collecting in 1956, and acquired diverse and hard to find items, including some of the earliest 19th century pamphlets on bicycling.
