Abstract

The Ballet Folklorico Mexicapan Papers contain the history of the Ballet Folkorico Mexicapan company, which existed for ten years from 1973 to 1983. Led by Benjamin Hernandez and Patricia Barrigan, the company aimed to preserve and display the rich traditions of Mexican folklore through dance, leading workshops and events. The collection contains flyers and programs for these events from throughout these years, as well as photographs of the dancers and company paperwork.

Charles S. Frey Memorial Bicycle Collection

Abstract

The Charles S. Frey collection contains materials related to bicycling and bicycle enthusiasts ranging from pamphlets and periodicals to illustrations and comic books. It was created by Ruth Frey Axe in honor of her nephew, an airman who lost his life during World War II. She began collecting in 1956, and acquired diverse and hard to find items, including some of the earliest 19th century pamphlets on bicycling.
