Scope and Contents of the Collection From the Collection:

The focus of this collection is the acquisition of visual materials that support the curriculum of The Claremont Colleges. Currently, the collection includes materials relating to California history and locations, historic photographic materials, materials related to social, immigration, and climate justice movements and organizations, and assorted artist prints and posters. Growth is anticipated for this collection.

Abstract: San Francisco hosted the Panama Pacific International Exposition in 1915. Officials from the Exposition printed postcards for the tourists who visited the Exposition. Because San Francisco suffered a major earthquake in 1906; and the earthquake destroyed many buildings, the postcards show temporary buildings built only for this Exposition. Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Zamorano Club Collection holds invitations, booklets, booklists, correspondence, keepsakes, membership lists, and other memorabilia documenting the history of the group of Los Angeles bibliophiles. The bulk of the collection is found in the invitations from 1930 to 2015, related to the meetings the Zamorano Club hosts. Scope and Contents

A collection of approximately 70 letters with several accompanying photographs, occasional handwritten illustrations, and postcards from Sergeant Wilfred D. Carnes, an Au Sable Forks, New York native to his family while serving in World War II from 1943 until 1945. The collection also contains correspondence received by Carnes and an application for National Service life insurance.
