Abstract The Marianne Moore (1887-1972) papers include photos, correspondence, articles, writings, and interviews related to the life and work of the American poet. Her cousin, Mary Louise Schneeberger, had a daughter named Paula who attended Scripps and graduated in 1956. That same year, Moore visited the campus in October. This collection contains documents relating to Edwin Clarence Norton, the first Dean of Pomona college. Norton served as Dean from 1893 until his retirement in 1926, but was active at the college since 1888. These papers contain autobiographical materials, speeches, correspondence, and other materials relating to Norton's life and especially his time at Pomona College and in the Claremont area.
